fap material. The film itself is very meh. Don't know why it got as big and overhyped as it did. Disney has made better movies than Frozen.

Unpopular Opinion: The Princess and the Frog and Moana are better movies than Frozen and Tangled

Olaf. Dude's hillarous

But the girls are incredibly inferior waifus

Elsa and Anna two beautiful ladies

The incest porn it spawned. The movie wasn't that good, and the musical numbers were boring, had a few fun moments but it didn't deserve the praise it got. Hell, the back of the blu-ray quoted some idiot that said "The best Disney movie since The Lion King!"

it's the Lion King of our times.

one good song overplayed on radio stations, and wham! you got entire franchise milked for years!

I don't even think Disney understands why it's so popular.

The Lion King had more than one good song. Frozen has Let It Go and I couldn't for the life of me tell you what else it had.

the music and the animation.

snow storms that trapped the audience in cinemas.

This. Robert and Kristen Lopez are disgusting people and mediocre songwriters at best. They got lucky with Let It Go, but the bulk of their song catalogue is still unmemorable (can you remember a single song from 2011's Winnie the Pooh?).

The movie is fine until Elsa slams the door shut at the end of Let It Go which for the record isn’t even the best song in the movie because unlike the three songs that come before it, it doesn’t narratively fit into the movie seeing as Elsa doesn’t actually let it go. Was probably a great villain song in the original draft though.

After that, everything is a mess. The songs are worse, the characters do dumb things for no reason, it meanders around doing nothing, countless problems are solved by coincidence (That fucking snowman casually walks into and through a CASTLE undetected and just happens to unlock and enter the one room where Anna is held captive). They should have just had the balls to let Elsa be the “villain”, not had a plot twist villain (because lord knows Disney have enough of them lately), let Anna and the beefcake who likes ice go save her and trim out the Olaf and the Troll songs for better ones.

>because lord knows Disney have enough of them lately)
But...they hadn't at that point in time.

Elsa is a queen. All queens are evil.
Elsa's overly attached to her sister.
Elsa is crazy.

>"Elsa you're crazy"

It makes kids happy. That’s about the best I can say for it.

Shouldn't we be nudists, Elsa?

Soundtrack but i hate how the last half has no songs

The setting and the character, each fucked up in their own way (no, not the trolls)
a Disney musical examining the idea that true love doesn't have to be romantic
"Love is an Open Door"
Hans and his ambigous morality
"Vuelie and Frozen Heart"

>They should have just had the balls to let Elsa be the “villain”, not had a plot twist villain (because lord knows Disney have enough of them lately)
Uh, dude, Frozen had only the second plot twist villain, after Turbo in WIR. And it was the first time iirc that a romantic interest turned out to be a plot twist villain.

I don't think Disney villains have duped the audience quite like Hans ever before. A lot of the audience were really lured into trusting him, rooting for him, and believing the romance between him and Anna. It's quite novel, when the movie was just out so many people were absolutely furious at him in a personal way people usually aren't with movie villains. It's like Hans betrayed them personally, or something.

>mfw nobody mentions best boi Kristoff

>What's the best thing about this film?
That we get an apparently solid stage version, honestly. I'm more excited to see the show than Frozen 2 at this point.

The 'and the reindeer' joke was worth a chuckle. Marshmallow was cool too.

That's about it.

/r9k/elsa was the only good thing to come from it

How about Snowflake in Spring?

But it was both extremely ooc and also shit

THE BACKSON
THE BACKSON
WE DONT LIKE THE BACKSON

WEW LADS

Do You Want to Build a Snowman, Love is an Open Door, Frozen Heart, For the First Time in Forever (Reprise), and Everything is Honey are pure kino.

>All of those are pure Kino
Nigga fucking Let it Go is the only one that’s any good, and it’s been so fucking overplayed that no one can stand it anymore

Elsa's legs.

That it's fucking over.

Let It Go

Moana is terrible. It takes too long to get going so it barely gets anywhere by the end.
PATF is ok but is criticised for dropping New Orleans to muck about a swamp for most of the movie. Tangled is good but not super great. Frozen is worse Tangled with worse meme songs.
