It's a shame that so many comics have done the concept right and they couldn't figure it out for a major motion picture.
There's a stigma against comics writers, that they're somehow below Hollywood writers. Guys like Kelly are the ones they should be going to for a Superman script.

I agree, I've always felt the view that aliens only attack because of superheroes didn't make sense. If you're an interstellar conqueror, a place like Earth with billions of slaves and a pre-space level of technology looks pretty damn attractive, if anything superhumans make it a LESS attractive target
