Static’s fandom

Static’s fandom and cartoon fandom seems to be dying or last isn’t getting any new fan content. Every few often there be new fan art and new fanfiction but not a lot like there use to be. How can we save Static’s fandom ?

Well what the hell do you expect? He hasn't had a book or animated series in some time. However he is getting a new book (eventually)

His legal status means he doesn't get to easily crossover with other DC stuff and Milestone's massive mismanagement means he hasn't been in anything of his own for ages

Maybe appearing in Young Justice season three might help him.

Speaking of fanfics have you guys read this crazy fanfic where Static gets in a poly relationship with Frieda and Daisy ? Most Static Shock fanfics are gay stuff with Richie but not this one. You guys gotta read it.

I think the best way to bring Static fandom back is to just make new stuff. Make new fan art. Make new fan fiction .Comment on new current fan art and fan fictions, that might encourage then to make more.

>the episode where they straight up make fun of how many black superheroes with electric powers there are
That was silly

It has nothing to do with interest. It's the rights holding company. Hudlin is a retard and can't get anything done. He's aware Static is a potentially very lucrative brand but through a combination of protectiveness (or greed) and ineptitude any plans they have for the character move slow as a frozen cowpie.

Obviously we don't know exactly what's going on behind the scenes, but I'd bet it has to do with Hudlin wanting to put his greasy mitts all over any licensing opportunity and most studios not wanting to involve themselves with someone like that. And on the comics side, I have a feeling most of the other Milestone guys are leery to work too closely with him, as well as having other projects that take most of their attention.

Additionally there's legal trouble within Milestone because Static's creator is dead yet Milestone seems to want to cut his widow out of any control or profitability in Static's future and Milestone as a whole, leading to a lawsuit.

The milestone imprint at DC died after four years because people weren't buying the comics.

Isn't the new book by Hudlin?

Goddamn it. Why can't Static just be a regular fucking superhero? Why does he have to be the black superhero who fights for black folks and knows the "struggle"?

A lot of people were reading Milestone. It has a audience. I’ve seen new fans. People don’t fail Milestone ,comics failed Milestone. There’s a lot of reasons why Milestone shut down.

The comic industry failed Milestone.

you can't. MCU black heroes will kill it off. people will just give up on it.

Buy his merch and maybe DC/Milestone will do some thing with him.

Amber is suppose to be a new character in Static's new book. What do you think she's going to be like ?

Blame his creators, because thats exactly what he was designed to do

>static go!

The fuck you on about? Static's best friend is white as hell and so are two of his three biggest enemies. Static is black, but he rarely expresses it as an inward struggle. He tends to blame his environment more than his upbringing, which separates him from his rivals and his enemies who often appear to lean on the nature

have you ever read Static before?

He isn't the black superhero, he's the hood superhero. Being affected by things like teenage pregnancy, gang violence, and poverty, which is what his books touch on when he's not beating on bad guys, is what static is all about.

Hudlin is only writing one arc, then kyle baker is taking over
