It's one of those comics I love to reread.

Amazing, how two Mexican men manage to make better female characters than many female creators.

>what's the perfect amount of thickness for Maggie?
That's fine for me.

Still dont know what the comic is even about.

A bit of everything. A punk rock band, a pulp adventure in a dinosaur planet, romance, mystery...

It's my favorite.

>Gabby Rivera wanted based Hernandez bros to draw an America issue
G R O S S

Lost interest after the fantastical elements up and left.

I would, too. Just wouldn't want Gabby writing it.

Stop misgendering my Latinx sisters, puto.

This cliffhanger has had me on edge since august. You're killing me, Jaime.

>clenched fists

Does he rape them?

Book hasn't come out yet, faggot.

Classic Beto > Classic Xaime > Modern Xaime > Modern Beto

It's unbelievable how far Gilbert has fallen. I never thought I'd say this, but giant breasts were a mistake.

It's the fucking best?

It's two ongoing stories since 1982 (collected in 5 or so digest sized books each) about ex-punk girls Maggie and Hopey as they age out of their scene and the residents (Xaime) and descendents of a small Mexican (slightly magical) town (Beto). They're in the same universe but have only very occasionally crossed over. They're the best indie books and are a massive fuck-you to the idea that men can't write great women.

oops put Xaime's name in the wrong place

I just started working my way through this series. I actually avoided it because Neil Gaiman was trying to talk it up for a while and I hate that dude, but the series is so fucking good.
