I honestly felt uncomfortable watching this.
It's more of a Wacky Deli type situation where Seth MacFarlane doesn't want to be remembered as the fart joke king so he's trying these "dramatic" episodes hoping in vain that someone will remember him for them.
I'll never understand the hate for him and this bullshit narrative. The episode writer mentioned the only thing they really sought permission from MacFarlane on was the "Stewie's real voice" aspect.
I thought it was terrible. The riff on Patrick Stewart's gay relationship at the beginning was funny and the British accent gag was funny but everything else was 10000% cringe godawful unwatchable crap.
MacFarlane really gets too much blame, he wanted the show to die years ago.
Really would've thought other shows would learn by now (especially after Rick and Morty) that when you start a comedy show, it usually never works, ever, to make a left turn to Drama Blvd.
Infamous example of this;

Human thought and memory lays on the foundation of the narrative. As children develop and start to become aware of their surroundings, they organize their thoughts and their actions into stories. Adult thought is ultimately an outgrowth from this fundamental behavior.
Stupid people need simple stories with few actors and clear motivations. So while the reality is that myriad people are involved in the production for their own reasons with their own intentions, the simplified version of the story is that Seth makes Family Guy and therefore all Family Guy relates directly to Seth.
It's basically how conspiracy theories work.
It was over 20 fucking minutes of nothing happening.
Arguably the worst episode ever.
As they say in the Star Wars episodes "oh but he still cashes the check every month? How noble". His hands are covered in blood, he is the show (literally voices ~70 of the main characters and all of the male ones besides Joe and Chris), he could just walk away.
True. He's still got American Dad, get's owed cheques for Family Guy, he's still got that movie career and all the other little things he does.
His resumes more than fitting for something else.
Maybe he's stuck contractually?
it's literately a pleb filter
I think Fox let's him keep Orville as long as he keeps putting out Family Guy
>season 16
How did this show last so fucking long.
Remember the beginning of Season 4 where Peter lists all the shows that were on when Family Guy was off the air for only a year and says "Well, maybe if ALL those shows go down the drain, we may have a shot"?
Fox has nothing to fill the dead spot in the lineup with and doesn't want Brooklyn 99 there but there's nothing else to fill the time slot so they have to. Zombie Family Guy will last as long as Simpsons.
>Worst episode ever
Not the one where Stewie and Brian get locked in a bank over the weekend, not the one where Peter tries to marry Chris to inherit Cater's fortune, not the one where Brian and Stewie have dog-human hybrid clone children but THIS is the worst episode ever?
They could probably move Gotham there. Prime time Sunday night has to be better than Thursdays at 9.
>but THIS is the worst episode ever?
Yes.
SHUT UP MR. ENTER!
We all know you will rant about this for one hour at least
Oh no. You forgot how at the end the psychiatrist dies of heart failure cause NOW Stewie is a dick in the last two minutes or so again.
... these guys know nothing about setting a tone and sticking to it
I know I'm going to regret this but I need to see it to believe how shit it is
Can anyone link the episode?
not a single laugh
also i felt like an ass for inviting people over to watch and eat weed, i thought it was going to be some huge event
Best episode of Family Guy in ages. This was an ep written for adults, I'm pretty sure every teenager watching fell asleep during it.
why would it be?
it was advertised as a special commercial free episode where something big is revealed
Patrick Stewart?
I'm pretty sure it's one guy on Sup Forums who can't tell the difference between Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen.
This episode was an Emmy bait snorefest. But worst episode ever? Naaah. Not even in the top 20
>is the show dying off
No
When will Seth be taken to The Hague to face indictment?
