Can someone do a quick rundown on what's wrong with roguelikes?
>It isn't a video game, it's an experience
>hobby-grade
Every single time.
low effort indie trash where level design is replaced with an algorithm
>roguelike
>low effort
its easier to have a game randomly make levels than it is to make good levels on your own
>nudity
>Free to play procedurally generated open-world survival game with crafting, microtransactions, pre-order bonuses, a season pass, Souls-like combat and cinematic cutscenes featuring a female protagonist in a post-apocalyptic world overrun with zombies
The way videogames are going, it's only a matter of time before this becomes a real game.
I want to one day make a roguelike except with handmade levels that really abuse the classic roguelike mechanics.
