I've played with it and it doesn't seem that good. What does it have over stuff like Sublime Text or Notepad++? I really want to like Atom it just seems slow compared to other programs that seem to offer the same features and have the same appeal.

Does it work for you?
* It has all the plugins of ST and more
* Biggest friendly community you will ever find
* Switched to for performance enhancements
* Free, customisation to the core and open source. Like Linux
* ST is dead, charges $70 and forum full of trolls these days. People moved over to Atom
>200 readme pages
