Also it's not fair to say that punk died in the 80's when there are about a million active punk groups, even if a lot of those take more inspiration from hardcore than they do the bands that came before that. Not to mention bands like NOFX and Against Me are still hugely popular today whilst *mostly* staying outside the mainstream, which punk usually tries to avoid (yeah, of course, Green Day and Blink didn't, but those are exceptions, not the rule).

Siege is great indeed, but when it comes to powerviolence my favorite has got to be Spazz.
But when I mean "best punk band of all time", I'm not just talking about which bands I prefer, I'm also factoring in the impact that those bands had in the punk rock scene. So while you might prefer Siege over both DK and BF, you can't say they're more influential. Though Siege does have it's fair share of influence.
the ramones were the first pop punk band
those are still punk bands, no?
I really think that their last two albums got really preachy and bland. I'm saying this as a person who really enjoys there first two.
>not enjoying Bedtime or Give Me Convenience
Frankenchrist was pretty okay and Fresh Fruit is pretty bland
Crass, exploited, or discharge in my opinion would be or should be regarded as the goatest
Definitely not The Exploited.
>Muh proto bands
But everytime no one mentions mc5 nor stooges in thier proto wank off
no, they're pop bands with punk elements
