for instance, while their mandatory statement of faith requires typical religious school things like belief in God, attending church regularly, praying with others, etc. it also forbids you, on and off campus, from engaging in premarital sex, drinking, drugs (even cigarettes), being openly gay, and a bunch of other arbitrary things pertaining to important issues like how short girls' skirts and shorts can be. overall Wheaton seems to attract a ton of Christian revivalists, virtually all of whom subscribe to Young Earth Creationism, genuinely loathe gay people, and view the expensive cars their parents bought them as evidence of Prosperity Doctrine
