The Argentinians were defeated on land and as I remember sustained more air losses. Not to mentioned they tried to invade an island and the British navy was overwhelmingly superior, which isn't the case with Italian and Russian navies.
And even so, if the Argentinians had managed to hold back the British counter invasion of the Falklands they would have won.
